Pellaea ovata, commonly known as Ovate-leaf Cliffbrake, is a small to medium-sized terrestrial or lithophytic fern that forms dense clumps. Its pinnate fronds, lustrous dark green and ovate in shape, give it a delicate and elegant appearance. It is ideal for terrariums, shady rock gardens, or as an indoor plant in hanging baskets where its fronds can cascade freely.

This fern prefers bright indirect light to partial shade; avoid intense direct sunlight which can scorch its fronds. Watering should be moderate, allowing the top layer of the substrate to dry slightly between waterings, but without letting the substrate dry out completely.
