Polystichum setiferum, commonly known as the soft shield fern or hedge fern, is a perennial fern native to Europe and Asia. Its fronds are delicately feathery, bright green, and grow in a dense clump, forming an attractive mound. It is an excellent choice for shady gardens, rockeries, or as an indoor plant in a cool, humid environment.
