Care, watering, light and tips for Pasionaria on Floravia.
Passiflora belotii, also known as Vingpassionsblomma, is a beautiful hybrid climbing plant, valued for its large, fragrant white or pale pink flowers with a central crown of purple filaments. Its blooms, which can reach 10-12 cm in diameter, make it ideal for covering pergolas, fences, or walls, creating a visual and aromatic spectacle. It is perfect for tropical or subtropical gardens, as well as patios and terraces in more temperate climates, if protected in winter.
Horticultural hybrid, no natural native distribution
This passionflower requires full sun to partial shade exposure to bloom profusely. Watering should be regular, keeping the substrate moist but not waterlogged, especially during warm months; reduce frequency in winter. It prefers well-drained soil rich in organic matter, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. A common mistake is not providing adequate support for it to climb, which can limit its growth and flowering.
