Dichondra sericea, also known as "Dichondra soyeux" or "Silver Dichondra," is a perennial creeping plant from the Convolvulaceae family, valued for its dense, soft, silvery-green foliage. Its small, rounded, velvety leaves form a compact carpet, making it ideal as groundcover, in rock gardens, or for edging pathways, adding an elegant and fresh touch to the garden.

Care tips
This Dichondra prefers full sun to partial shade, although the silver color is more intense with more light. It requires moderate watering, allowing the top layer of the substrate to dry slightly between waterings, and well-drained, preferably sandy soil. Avoid waterlogging, as it is very susceptible to root rot, and it does not tolerate hard frosts, so in cold climates, it should be protected or grown as an annual.
