About Turkish mullein
Verbascum bombyciferum, also known as 'Seidenhaar-Königskerze' or 'Silver Mullein', is a striking biennial plant that forms basal rosettes of large, soft leaves covered in dense, silvery hairs. In its second year, it produces a spectacular, tall, branched flower stalk adorned with numerous bright yellow blooms that attract pollinators. It is ideal for naturalistic gardens, rockeries, or as a focal point in sunny borders, providing unique texture and height.

Care tips
This plant thrives in full sun for optimal growth and abundant flowering. Watering should be moderate, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings, as it is drought-tolerant once established. It prefers well-drained, poor to moderately fertile soils and does not tolerate waterlogging, which is a common mistake. Although biennial, it often self-seeds under suitable conditions.
