About Puncturevine
Tribulus cistoides, commonly known as tataramo, is a perennial creeping plant belonging to the Zygophyllaceae family, native to tropical and subtropical regions. It is characterized by its bright yellow flowers and pinnate leaves, resembling those of a fern. It is ideal for rock gardens, as ground cover in dry areas, or in hanging baskets where its stems can trail gracefully.

Care tips
This plant requires full sun for abundant flowering, at least 6 hours daily. Watering should be moderate, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, as it is drought-tolerant. It prefers well-drained, sandy or stony soils; avoid heavy substrates that retain too much moisture. A common mistake is overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
