About Fagonia cretica
Fagonia cretica, commonly known as barkan, is a small, xerophytic shrub characterized by spiny stems and delicate purple or pink flowers. Its resilient nature and attractive appearance make it an excellent choice for rock gardens, xeriscaping, or as an ornamental plant in arid climates, adding color and texture to the landscape.

Care tips
This plant thrives in full sun and requires extremely well-drained soil, preferably sandy or rocky, as it is highly sensitive to waterlogging. Watering should be infrequent, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, especially during winter. Avoid overwatering its roots, as this is the most common mistake leading to its decline. It is very drought-tolerant once established.
