Care, watering, light and tips for Limeberry on Floravia.
Triphasia trifolia, also known as Orangine or Petite citronelle, is a spiny evergreen shrub that produces small, edible red berries and fragrant white flowers. Its dense, glossy foliage, along with its attractive fruits, makes it ideal for low hedges, bonsai, or as an ornamental potted plant in patios and gardens. It is an excellent specimen for tropical and subtropical gardens, adding an exotic and aromatic touch.

It requires full sun to partial shade for optimal flowering and fruiting, though it tolerates some shade. Watering should be regular, keeping the substrate moist but not waterlogged, especially during active growth and fruiting periods. It prefers well-drained soils rich in organic matter. A common mistake is insufficient pruning, which can lead to unruly growth and less fruit production; prune to maintain shape and stimulate flower and fruit development.
