Schinus latifolia, commonly known as Molle, is an evergreen tree or shrub native to Chile, valued for its dense foliage and attractive form. It features small, glossy leaves, and in spring it produces tiny whitish or yellowish flowers that give way to reddish fruits. It's an excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens, as a windbreak, or as a standalone specimen in parks and squares.

It requires full sun exposure for optimal growth, although it toler tolerates partial shade. This plant is very drought-tolerant once established, so watering should be moderate, allowing the substrate to dry out between waterings. It prefers well-drained soils, even poor or sandy ones, and is not particular about pH. Avoid overwatering, as it is susceptible to root rot in waterlogged soils.
