Sempervivum funckii, also known as Funck's Houseleek, is a small perennial succulent that forms compact rosettes of fleshy leaves, often with reddish tips, especially with good sun exposure. It's ideal for rock gardens, green roofs, or pots, adding a rustic, low-maintenance touch. Its rosettes multiply easily, forming dense colonies.

Care tips
It requires full sun to maintain its coloration and compact form, though it tolerates some partial shade. Watering should be moderate in spring and summer, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, and very scarce or none in winter. Ensure a very well-draining, sandy or succulent-specific substrate to prevent waterlogging, which is its main enemy. A common mistake is overwatering, which leads to rosette rot.
