About Orpine
Hylotelephium vulgare, also known as Sedum telephium or 'Berg-Waldfetthenne', is a hardy perennial succulent, valued for its upright stems reaching 30-60 cm tall, adorned with fleshy grey-green leaves and flat-topped flower clusters ranging from pale pink to deep carmine in autumn. It is ideal for rock gardens, sunny borders, or as a low-maintenance potted plant, providing visual interest when many other plants have finished blooming. Care tips
This plant thrives in full sun to partial shade, requiring at least 6 hours of direct sunlight for optimal blooming. Use a well-draining substrate, preferably sandy or gritty, and avoid over-fertilizing. A common mistake is overwatering, which quickly leads to rot at the plant's base.
