About Thrift
Armeria caespitosa, commonly known as 'tuvtrift' or 'thrift', is a small alpine perennial forming dense cushions of narrow, blue-green leaves. It produces charming pale pink or lilac flowers on short stems during spring and summer. This compact and resilient plant is ideal for rock gardens, wall crevices, or as ground cover in alpine settings.

Care tips
Requires full sun and very well-drained, sandy or gritty soil, as it is highly susceptible to waterlogging. Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings, and reduce watering in winter. Avoid heavy, clay soils, which can lead to root rot, and do not over-fertilize. A common mistake is planting it in partial shade or wet soils, which weakens the plant and shortens its lifespan.
