About Persian speedwell
Veronica persica, commonly known as Persian speedwell or orientveronika, is a small annual or biennial herbaceous plant from the Plantaginaceae family, forming low mats with prostrate or ascending stems. Its delicate blue flowers with a white center, appearing from late winter to early summer, add a subtle splash of color to the ground. It is ideal for covering bare spots in rock gardens, along pathways, or as an understory plant in lightly trafficked areas.

Care tips
It prefers full sun to light partial shade and well-drained soils, although it is quite tolerant of different soil types. Watering should be moderate, allowing the top layer of the substrate to dry out between waterings, as it does not tolerate waterlogging. This plant is not very demanding in terms of nutrients, so it does not require regular fertilization. A common mistake is overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
