About Antirrhinum rothmaleri
Antirrhinum rothmaleri, commonly known as Bocas-de-lobo-de-Trás-os-Montes, is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Plantaginaceae family, endemic to the Trás-os-Montes region in Portugal. It is characterized by its delicate, tubular flowers in shades ranging from white to pale pink, featuring a distinctive bilobed lower lip reminiscent of a dragon's mouth. It is ideal for rock gardens, low-maintenance gardens, or as an ornamental potted plant, adding a charming, wild touch.

Care tips
It requires full sun exposure or light partial shade and prefers well-drained soils, preferably calcareous or slightly acidic. Watering should be moderate, allowing the substrate to dry out between waterings to prevent waterlogging, to which it is sensitive. Avoid excessive fertilization, as it adapts well to poor soils and an excess of nutrients can reduce its flowering. A common mistake is planting it in heavy or poorly drained soils, which will lead to root rot.
