Care, watering, light and tips for Fuchsia on Floravia.
Fuchsia venusta, commonly known as Orange Fuchsia or Orange Trailing Fuchsia, is a fast-growing, semi-woody shrub or climbing fuchsia with a spectacular bloom. Its intense orange, tubular flowers with long stamens, emerging from red calyces, hang gracefully, creating an exotic and vibrant effect. It is ideal for hanging baskets, borders, or as a light climbing plant in warm and humid climates.
Mexico and Central America
It requires bright but indirect light, avoiding direct midday sun which can scorch its leaves. Watering should be frequent and abundant during growth and flowering, keeping the substrate consistently moist but not waterlogged. It prefers a rich, well-drained, and slightly acidic substrate. A common mistake is insufficient ambient humidity, which can cause bud and leaf drop; regular misting of its leaves is beneficial.
