About Autumn sage
Salvia greggii, also known as Autumn Sage or Texas Sage, is a semi-evergreen perennial shrub prized for its extended blooming period. It produces spikes of tubular flowers, typically in shades of red, pink, white, or purple, which attract pollinators. It is ideal for low-maintenance gardens, rockeries, or as a border plant, providing vibrant color for much of the year.

Texas (United States) and northeastern Mexico
Care tips
It requires full sun for optimal flowering, at least 6 hours daily. It is drought-tolerant once established, so water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings; overwatering can be fatal. It prefers well-drained soils, even poor or sandy ones. Avoid overwatering and waterlogging, as it is very susceptible to root rot.
