Echium handiense, also known as Jandía's Bugloss, is an endemic shrub from Fuerteventura, characterized by its striking conical inflorescences of intense blue that can reach considerable heights. This botanical gem adds an exotic and spectacular touch to arid gardens or rockeries, standing out for its showy bloom and sculptural form.

Care tips
It needs full sun exposure and a very well-drained substrate, preferably sandy or volcanic, to prevent waterlogging around its roots. It is extremely drought-tolerant once established, so watering should be minimal, especially in winter. A common mistake is overwatering, which can lead to root rot; it's best to water only when the soil is completely dry. It does not tolerate frost.
