About Irish heath
Daboecia cantabrica, also known as St. Dabeoc's Heath, is a small evergreen shrub native to Western Europe. It is characterized by its clusters of bell-shaped flowers, which can be white, pink, or purple, blooming profusely from late spring through autumn. It's an excellent choice for rock gardens, borders, or as a groundcover in areas with acidic soils.

Care tips
It requires full sun to partial shade and an acidic, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Keep the substrate consistently moist, especially during dry periods, but avoid waterlogging as it is susceptible to root rot. A common mistake is planting it in alkaline soils, which will lead to chlorosis and poor development; ensure the soil pH is low.
