About Barrel cactus
Ferocactus robustus, commonly known as the Pineapple Cactus, is a globular cactus that forms large, dense colonies, resembling a cluster of small pineapples. Its stems are bright green, with well-defined ribs and sturdy spines in shades ranging from yellowish to reddish. It is ideal for desert gardens, rockeries, or as an accent plant in large pots, adding a sculptural and resilient touch to the landscape.

This barrel cactus thrives in full sun, which is essential for maintaining its compact form and vibrant spines. Watering should be very infrequent, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, especially in winter when it should be almost nonexistent.
