About Barbados gooseberry
Pereskia aculeata, known as Barbados Gooseberry or Barbados Rose Cactus, is an atypical cactus species that more closely resembles a leafy shrub or vine than a traditional cactus. It features woody stems with spines and oval leaves, producing fragrant white to cream-colored flowers followed by small, edible fruits. It is ideal for climbing pergolas, fences, or as a thorny hedge in warm climates.
