About Prickly pear
The Prickly Pear (Opuntia dillenii) is a shrubby or tree-like cactus, native to tropical and subtropical American coasts. Its pads, ranging from bluish-green to dark green, are large and fleshy, covered with yellowish spines and clusters of glochids. This plant is ideal for coastal gardens, rockeries, or as a solitary specimen in warm, dry climates.

Care tips
It requires full sun for optimal growth and abundant flowering. Watering should be sparse, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, and almost none in winter.
