About Easter cactus
Hatiora gaertneri, commonly known as the Easter Cactus, is an epiphytic cactus native to the tropical rainforests of Brazil. It is characterized by its bright green, flattened and segmented stems, which produce beautiful red or orange flowers in spring, coinciding with the Easter season. It is ideal for hanging baskets or as an indoor plant in a bright location.

Care tips
It requires bright but indirect light; direct sunlight can scorch its segments. Water moderately when the substrate is dry to the touch, reducing watering in winter. It prefers a well-draining, organically rich substrate, similar to that used for orchids. Avoid overwatering at all costs, as it is the most common cause of root rot.

- Soft, shriveled, or yellowing segments; bud/flower drop. Soft or foul-smelling roots.
