About Cereus jamacaru
Cereus jamacaru, known as the Uruguay Torch or Peruvian Torch, is an imposing columnar cactus native to South America. It can reach considerable heights, developing branched, spiny stems that give it a sculptural presence. It's ideal for desert gardens, large pots on sunny patios, or as a focal point in xerophytic landscapes.

Care tips
It requires full sun for optimal growth and abundant flowering. Watering should be moderate during the growing season (spring-summer), allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, and very scarce or none in winter. Use a well-draining substrate specific for cacti and succulents. A common mistake is overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
