About Engelmann's prickly pear
Opuntia engelmannii, commonly known as Engelmann's Prickly Pear, is a bushy, branching cactus native to North America, characterized by its large, oval, blue-green pads (cladodes) and prominent spines. It produces yellow flowers that give way to edible red fruits. This plant is ideal for xeriscape gardens, rockeries, or as a striking specimen in large pots.

Care tips
It requires full sun exposure for optimal growth and abundant flowering. Watering should be sparse, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, especially in winter.
