About Sonchus sventenii
Sonchus sventenii, known as Sventenius' Sow Thistle, is an endemic species from the island of La Gomera, Canary Islands, belonging to the Asteraceae family. It presents as a perennial herbaceous plant with branched stems and grayish-green lobed leaves. Its yellow inflorescences, typical of 'wild lettuces', make it attractive in rock gardens or as part of a Canary Islands flora collection.

Care tips
This species prefers full sun exposure or light partial shade and requires well-drained soil, preferably sandy or volcanic, to prevent waterlogging which can be fatal. Watering should be moderate, allowing the substrate to dry out between waterings, and it's important to reduce it during colder months.
