About Dandelion
Taraxacum tiroliense, known as Tyrolean Dandelion, is an alpine species belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is characterized by its lobed basal leaf rosettes and distinctive solitary yellow flowers emerging on leafless stems, similar to the common Dandelion but adapted to high-mountain environments. It is ideal for alpine rockeries or gravel gardens, adding a touch of wild color and resilience.

It prefers full sun exposure and tolerates poor, well-drained soils, typical of its mountainous habitat; waterlogging is its main enemy. Avoid excessive fertilizers, as this can promote weak growth and reduce its resilience.
