About Dandelion
Taraxacum parsennense, commonly known as Parsenn dandelion, is a perennial species belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is characterized by its basal rosetted leaves and distinctive solitary yellow flowers, which later transform into the familiar seed-dispersing 'parachutes'. This robust alpine plant is ideal for rock gardens or for adding a resilient, wild touch to mountain landscapes.

Central Europe, specifically the Eastern Alps in Switzerland and Austria.
Care tips
Prefers full sun exposure or light partial shade in very hot climates. It requires well-drained, sandy or stony soil, typical of its alpine habitat, and tolerates poor soils. Watering should be moderate, allowing the substrate to dry out between waterings, and it is quite drought-tolerant once established. Avoid excessive soil moisture, especially in winter, as it can lead to root rot.
