About Dandelion
Taraxacum lacistophyllum, commonly known as Cut-leaved Dandelion, is a robust perennial herb, often considered a 'weed' yet vital as a pioneer plant in ecosystems. Its deeply lobed leaves form a basal rosette from which hollow flower stalks emerge, topped with bright yellow flower heads. While commonly found in meadows and roadsides, it can add a touch of 'wildness' to naturalistic gardens or as part of a wildflower meadow.
Care tips
It thrives in full sun to partial shade and is highly adaptable to a wide range of conditions. Watering is generally unnecessary once established, as it is quite drought-tolerant, though occasional watering during very dry spells can be beneficial.
