About Dandelion
Taraxacum difficile, known as 'Vanskelig vejmælkebøtte' in Danish, is a dandelion species noted for its robust nature and adaptability to challenging environments. Its distinctive toothed leaves and characteristic yellow flower make it easily recognizable, blooming profusely in meadows, roadsides, and disturbed areas. While often considered a 'weed', it can add a wild and naturalistic touch to low-maintenance gardens or urban meadows.

This plant is remarkably resilient and requires minimal care. It thrives in full sun but can tolerate partial shade. Watering is generally unnecessary once established, as it is drought-tolerant, but it will benefit from some water during very dry spells. It adapts to a wide range of soils, preferring well-drained ones, even poor or compacted. The most common mistake is attempting to completely eradicate it, as it is a very persistent plant and will easily reappear.
