About Rigid ryegrass
Lolium rigidum, commonly known as rigid ryegrass, is an annual or biennial grass from the Poaceae family, native to the Mediterranean region. It is characterized by its rigid, upright spikes, which can reach up to 80 cm in height, and its deep green leaves. Although often considered a weed in cultivated fields, its hardiness and rapid growth make it useful for revegetating degraded soils or as a winter cover in rustic gardens, where its fine texture can add interest.
