About Tall fescue
Festuca amethystina, commonly known as amethyst fescue, is a perennial ornamental grass forming dense clumps of fine, blue-grey foliage. Its delicate flower spikes emerge in summer, adding an ethereal touch. It is ideal for rockeries, borders, or as ground cover in low-maintenance gardens, providing texture and color.

Mountains of Central and Southern Europe, including the Alps and the Pyrenees.
Care tips
It prefers full sun exposure to maintain its intense blue coloration, although it tolerates light partial shade. It requires well-drained soil, preferably sandy or gravelly, as waterlogging is its main enemy. Watering should be moderate, allowing the substrate to dry out between waterings, and it is quite drought-tolerant once established. Avoid heavy, wet soils, which can lead to root rot.
