About Chinese timber bamboo
Phyllostachys vivax, known as elegant bamboo or Chinese giant bamboo, is an impressive bamboo species due to its large size and robust culms, which can reach heights of up to 20 meters. Its stems are bright green, often with a whitish waxy coating when young, and its leaves are large and lush. It is ideal for creating tall privacy screens, windbreaks, or as a focal specimen in large gardens, providing a majestic presence.

This bamboo prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil, rich in organic matter and consistently moist.
