About Stipa atlantica
Stipa atlantica, commonly known as Atlantic Feather Grass or Spanish Plume, is an ornamental perennial grass native to the Iberian Peninsula and Northwest Africa. It is characterized by its elegant, fine green leaves forming dense clumps, from which emerge feathery, silvery or pale purple flower spikes during summer, creating an ethereal and undulating effect with the breeze. It is ideal for Mediterranean-style gardens, xeriscaping, rock gardens, or as an accent plant in borders, adding texture and movement.

Care tips
It prefers full sun exposure for optimal growth and abundant flowering. This plant is very drought-tolerant once established, so watering should be sparse, especially in winter, avoiding waterlogging. It requires well-drained soil, preferably sandy or stony, and is not demanding in terms of nutrients. A common mistake is overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
