About Dwarf eelgrass
Zostera noltii, also known as dwarf eelgrass or 'Corwellt y Gamlas' in some dialects, is a submerged aquatic plant that forms dense meadows in shallow coastal waters. Its leaves are narrow and ribbon-like, a bright green color that provides vital habitat for marine wildlife and stabilizes sandy bottoms. It is ideal for specific marine aquariums or coastal ecosystem restoration projects aiming to recreate a natural environment.

Care tips
This seagrass requires bright sunlight or powerful marine-specific LED lighting for at least 8-10 hours daily. The water must be saline (salinity between 25-35 ppt), well-oxygenated, and with a gentle to moderate flow, maintained between 15-25°C. The ideal substrate is fine sand or a sand-silt mixture, with a depth of at least 5-10 cm to allow for rooting. A common mistake is a lack of nutrients in the substrate or drastic changes in salinity, which can stress the plant and lead to its decline.
