About Air plant
Tillandsia straminea is an epiphytic bromeliad species native to the desert regions of Peru and Chile. It is characterized by its soft, silvery leaves covered in trichomes, which give it a velvety appearance and allow it to absorb moisture from the air. It is ideal for terrariums, mounted on wood or rock, or as a suspended decorative element, adding an exotic and minimalist touch.

Care tips
It requires bright, indirect light; avoid intense direct sun to prevent leaf scorching. Watering should be by total immersion in lime-free water for 20-30 minutes, once a week, increasing frequency in dry or hot environments, and ensuring it dries completely within 4 hours to prevent rot. It does not require substrate, as it obtains nutrients from the air and water. A common mistake is keeping it constantly wet, which leads to base rot.
