About Narrowleaf cattail
This Typha hybrid, resulting from the cross between *Typha angustifolia* and *Typha domingensis*, is a robust perennial aquatic plant, known for its distinctive cigar-shaped flower spikes and upright, linear foliage. It reaches significant heights, often exceeding 2 meters, making it ideal for adding vertical structure to ponds, lakes, or wetland areas of aquatic gardens. Its presence helps stabilize banks and provides habitat for local wildlife.

Care tips
It thrives in full sun to partial shade and requires an aquatic environment, either submerged in up to 30 cm of water or in consistently moist, boggy soil. The ideal substrate is a rich mix of organic matter and clay. This is a very vigorous plant that can become invasive if its growth is not controlled, so it is recommended to plant it in submerged containers to limit its spread.
