About Turkey oak
Quercus cerris, commonly known as Turkey oak, is a large deciduous tree native to Southern Europe and Asia Minor. It is characterized by its deeply fissured bark and acorns with bristly cups, giving it a rustic and distinctive appearance. It is ideal as a shade tree in parks and large gardens, or as a specimen tree.

Care tips
It requires full sun for optimal development and prefers well-drained soils, tolerating a wide range of pH. It is quite drought-resistant once established, but will benefit from occasional watering during prolonged dry periods. Avoid very compacted or poorly drained soils, as they can lead to root problems. A common mistake is planting it in confined spaces, as it needs ample room to grow.
