Care, watering, light and tips for Spirea on Floravia.
Spiraea 'Rosalba', commonly known as purpurspirea, is a deciduous ornamental shrub celebrated for its spectacular spring bloom in shades of pink, often fading to white. Its small flowers cluster in dense corymbs that cover the branches, creating a very attractive visual effect. It is ideal for borders, mass plantings, or as a specimen plant in low-maintenance gardens.
East Asia
It prefers full sun exposure for abundant flowering, although it tolerates partial shade. Regular watering is required, especially in summer and during dry periods, keeping the substrate moist but not waterlogged. It adapts to most soils, provided they are well-drained and slightly acidic to neutral. A common mistake is the lack of rejuvenation pruning after flowering, which can reduce the quantity and quality of blooms in subsequent years.
