About Hard rush
Juncus inflexus, commonly known as Hard Rush or Blue Rush, is a perennial plant with stiff, cylindrical, blue-green stems forming dense clumps. Its leaves are reduced to basal sheaths, and it produces small, inconspicuous flowers in lateral spikes. It is ideal for ponds, stream banks, or wet gardens, adding interesting vertical texture.

This species thrives in full sun to partial shade and requires consistently moist to waterlogged soil, making it perfect for water edges. It is not particular about substrate, tolerating a wide range of soils from clay to sandy, as long as they retain moisture.
