Mimosa albida, also known as chik chish, is an evergreen shrub or small tree belonging to the Fabaceae family, native to Central and South America. It is characterized by its delicate bipinnate leaves that fold upon touch or at dusk, and by its pale pink or white globular inflorescences. It is a charming ornamental plant for tropical and subtropical gardens, or as a potted specimen in cooler climates.
