Ficus obtusifolia, commonly known as Vetamo, is a robust and large tree from the Moraceae family, valued for its dense foliage and large, leathery, glossy green, obovate leaves. It is an excellent choice for spacious gardens or as a shade tree in parks, where its majestic stature can fully develop. It can also be grown in large pots as an ornamental specimen in very spacious interiors during its juvenile stages, before reaching its final size.

It prefers bright, indirect light, although mature outdoor specimens can tolerate full sun if acclimated. Watering should be moderate, allowing the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings, and reducing frequency in winter to prevent waterlogging.
