About Privet
Ligustrum sempervirens, known in China as 'lie guo nu zhen', is an evergreen shrub or small tree belonging to the Oleaceae family. It is characterized by its dense, glossy foliage with dark green, lanceolate leaves, and in spring it produces small, fragrant white flowers followed by black berries. It is ideal for formal hedges, privacy screens, or as a specimen plant in Mediterranean and subtropical gardens, providing structure and elegance.
