Care, watering, light and tips for Alpine cyclamen on Floravia.
Cyclamen alpinum, also known as propeller cyclamen, is a charming small perennial tuberous plant native to the mountains of Turkey. It is characterized by its silver-patterned leaves and unique propeller-shaped flowers, which can vary in color from pure white to shades of pink and purple. It is ideal for rock gardens, well-drained indoor pots, or as ground cover in woodland settings.

It prefers bright, indirect light and cool temperatures, avoiding intense direct sunlight. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings, and avoid wetting the tuber to prevent rot. Use a well-draining substrate, rich in organic matter, such as an orchid mix or a potting mix with perlite. A common mistake is overwatering, especially at the tuber, which can lead to its demise.
