About German primrose
Primula obconica, commonly known as Window Primrose, is a perennial herbaceous plant from the Primulaceae family, valued for its vibrant and abundant flowers that bloom in winter and spring. Its leaves are large, rounded, and slightly hairy, forming a basal rosette from which flower stalks emerge with clusters of blooms in shades ranging from white to pink, red, lilac, and blue. It is ideal for brightening indoor spaces during colder months, whether on windowsills or as part of seasonal floral arrangements.

It prefers bright, indirect light; avoid intense direct sunlight which can scorch its leaves and flowers. Keep the substrate consistently moist but not waterlogged, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings; overwatering is a common mistake. Use a rich, organic, and well-draining potting mix. A common mistake is exposing it to very low temperatures or cold drafts, which can cause flower buds to drop.
