Care, watering, light and tips for Oxalis semiloba on Floravia.
Oxalis semiloba, commonly known as 'lususi', is a small bulbous plant from the Oxalidaceae family, native to South Africa. Its delicate trifoliate leaves and abundant yellow, funnel-shaped flowers make it ideal for rock gardens, path borders, or as a potted plant on balconies and patios. It flowers mainly in autumn and winter, adding a vibrant splash of color during these seasons.

It requires full sun to partial shade for optimal flowering. Watering should be moderate, allowing the substrate to dry out slightly between waterings, and significantly reduced during its summer dormancy period. It prefers well-drained, sandy, or slightly acidic soil. A common mistake is overwatering during dormancy, which can lead to bulb rot.
