About Dewflower
Lampranthus vernalis, commonly known as Spring Brightfig, is a low-growing perennial succulent native to South Africa. Its trailing stems form dense mats of fleshy, cylindrical leaves, which are covered in spring with an explosion of small, bright pink, fuchsia, or purple flowers. It is ideal for rockeries, path edges, or as ground cover in Mediterranean or xeriscape gardens.

It requires full sun for abundant flowering and compact growth. Watering should be moderate, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings, and drastically reducing it in winter. It needs a very well-drained, sandy, or succulent-specific substrate to prevent waterlogging and root rot, which is a common mistake to avoid.
