About Lampranthus leptaleon
Lampranthus leptaleon, commonly known as Lion Brightfig, is a small perennial succulent forming dense mats of bright green foliage, covered with intense yellow flowers in spring and early summer. It is ideal for rockeries, sunny borders, or as ground cover in Mediterranean gardens. Its vibrant flowers provide a cheerful and long-lasting splash of color.

Care tips
It requires full sun for abundant flowering and compact growth; lack of light can cause it to stretch. Watering should be sparse, especially in winter, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot. It prefers very well-drained, sandy or rocky soils with low organic matter content. A common mistake is overwatering, which is its main cause of death, as well as growing it in shade.
