About Ice plant
Lampranthus glaucoides, known as Lampranthe presque glauque, is a low-growing perennial succulent native to South Africa. Its fleshy, grey-green leaves and bright pink or purple flowers, which appear profusely in spring and summer, make it ideal for rockeries, ground cover, or pots in warm, dry climates.

Care tips
It requires full sun for optimal flowering and very well-drained soil, preferably sandy or with good gravel content. It is drought-tolerant once established, so watering should be sparse, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as it is the most common mistake and can lead to root rot.

- Soft, wrinkled or yellowing leaves; limp stems or rot at the base. Constantly wet soil.

- Remove plant from soil. Examine roots: cut off rotten ones (black, soft). Air dry for 24h. Replant in dry, well-draining substrate. Water very sparingly.

- Overwatering is its main killer. It cannot tolerate constant moisture or waterlogging. Also lack of light.
- Can it be saved?
- Yes, if you act quickly and there is no extensive rot. It's hardy, but waterlogging destroys it.
