About Living stones
Lithops villetii, or 'Villet's living stone', is a small succulent plant native to South Africa, renowned for its astonishing ability to camouflage itself with the rocks in its natural habitat. Its stemless, bilobed bodies display patterns and colors ranging from greenish-grey to reddish-brown, often featuring translucent windows on the top surface. It is a captivating choice for low-maintenance terrariums, succulent collections, or as an accent plant in individual pots where its uniqueness can be admired up close.

Care tips
It requires intense, direct sunlight for most of the day to maintain its compact form and coloration. Watering should be extremely limited; only water when the old leaves are completely dry and the new ones show signs of thirst (slightly wrinkled), typically from spring to autumn, keeping the substrate completely dry in winter. Use a very porous and well-draining substrate, ideally a cactus and succulent mix with plenty of pumice or perlite. The most common mistake is overwatering, which leads to root rot and plant death.
