About Thread agave
Agave filifera, commonly known as the Thread Agave, is a compact and ornamental succulent belonging to the Asparagaceae family. It is distinguished by its rigid, dark green leaves forming a dense rosette, adorned with fine white filaments and a terminal spine. This plant is an excellent choice for rock gardens, xeriscaping, or as a potted plant on sunny patios and balconies.

Care tips
It requires full sun for optimal growth and intense coloration. Watering should be sparse, allowing the substrate to dry out completely between waterings; it is very susceptible to overwatering, especially in winter. Use a very well-draining substrate, specifically formulated for cacti and succulents. Absolutely avoid waterlogging, as it is the primary cause of root rot in this species.
